Urusei Yatsura Chapter 9 Discussion

Really wild chapter. I didn't consider that Cherry and Sakura were using stands LOL.



It's nice that Ataru's parents went on a trip and left Ataru and Lum home. I bet it was peaceful and they probably got a chance to fix their relationship. But I don't think they'd be happy once they returned home.



Lum's cooking was so crazy it tore a hole in the space-time continuum.



It's nice to see what Cherry and Sakura really think about each other. The uncle and niece dynamic is really cute and accurate.



The best part of the Viz re-release of the Urusei Yatsura manga is probably the Urusei Yatsura data files. IDK if these were in the Japanese manga or previous releases. If it's new then it's impressive as they read like they were written by genuine fans. Unlike the translation which translates oni as ogre...



It's interesting to read that Lum used her iconic electricity attack 322 times in the whole manga. But the problem with data like this is that it's also full of spoilers for people who never watched/read Urusei Yatsura which I found a bit strange.  

Lum's cooking hits again, then suddenly Sakura is at war with Cherry using their "stands". Hilarious as always, I thought the anime version was wilder though.
