It's incredible how Ataru could carry a grown woman and run off like that. He'd do anything if it means he could get laid.
Interestingly, the Remake omitted this scene. Probably due to time constraints.

Sakura exorcised Ataru so hard that she summoned the Reaper himself. Just Ataru's luck.
