Urusei Yatsura Chapter 112 Discussion

I half-expected this chapter to be in color. I'm surprised that it isn't. This would mean the red hair given to Lum in the Remake was an anime original addition made by David Production.



What kinda teacher wants to see his student dance naked? I know probably nothing sexual was intended through this joke but still. It seemed bizarre to me how enthusiastic Onsen Mark was...



Man, drunk Lum truly is a sight to behold. Drunkard's Boogie has to be one of the best chapters of this manga lol.




I also like the anime adaptations of the chapter. Of course, the OG anime episode was longer and had more funny jokes added by Studio Pierrot. But its most notable part was the insert song, Margarita. That alone made episode 42 more memorable.



The Remake didn't have any insert songs sadly. But it did give Lum red hair which doesn't really make up for it but it was cool to see. Also, Sumire Uesaka killed it with her drunk Lum performance. It was even one of her 4 favorite episodes of the Remake and it's easy to see why.
