Chrno Crusade Chapter 34 Discussion

The attack earlier isn't where the pain stops.  Chrno is locked away in isolation unaware of the outside world.  Rosette is forced to see a dismissed Kate, a locked away and presumably suffering Chrno(although we know he knows what it's like to be locked away), and an injured and weirdly demonic bodied Remington all while waiting(what she actively fears) and blaming herself physically for what happened Chrno and for leaving everyone behind running ahead and being the start of this entire event.  Brutal.   



We can assume Remington got implanted with 40% demon legion, aka demons cell structure which can only be tended by elder all for the cause of fighting Aion.  He's content dying as long as he reaches his goal and we can infer the next sprinter to continue after him is Rosette from the last lines this chapter.   Both are putting their lives on the line and accepting a much decreased lifespan after all.



Last thing is Chrno going insane because he didn't want to absolutely consume Rosette's soul.  I assume without horns demons can't heal properly and somehow by losing control of his legion and avoiding killing Rosette he went berserk.  I hope we see and understand more about this and legion in general.
