Bulbasaur finally evolved into Ivysaur, seeing its original sprite in the Pokédex is such a cool detail.

Red using Snorlax as a literal roadblock was clever.

Green seems like a sort of Fujiko Mine-type character, looking forward to seeing what she'll bring to the dynamics between Red, Blue and her.

It would have made more sense to match up the colors, but that’s probably just me. i believe it's actually no coincidence, i think they made it on purpose so it wouldn't be expected as you would think.

Well they didn't show Misty giving the badge to Red, but it was not unlikely since they are friends and helped each other. I'm more curious about Lt. Surge. He's also a gym leader but Red does not have HIS badge. That surely means he will appear again sooner or later.

They actually did it.

When Red said goodbye to Misty, he already had the second medal in his jacket.
