Akane being Akane aside, a cake made of rice is a new one for me. Kinda curious to try one lol

Not anorexic, I think... She seemed more bulimic to me, since her body's reaction to food is now to throw it up. How rare to see a mangaka actually presenting this issue! Such a horrible disorder. :\

It's nice that Najika is so persistent in her efforts to help out.

Akane's anorexic?  i feel sorry for her but she was still so mean to Najika.  however, it shows that Najika has a warm heart and can overlook Akane's evil misdeeds to her.

A cake of rice?  It seems like it'd be similar to a German Chocolate cake, and I hate that cake.  And I don't think German Chocolate cake is made of rice by the way.  It's just that the coconut on that cake reminds me rice.  It's very jarring, and it's the reason I hate German Chocolate cake.  It's also why I dread birthdays for my dad, since that's his favorite cake.

Talk of the modeling industry and the pressure to stay skinny.  This being a cooking manga has the perfect opportunity to talk of healing her relationship with food.  I'm at that stage now tbh.  I used to be overweight as a kid and most people would give me advice in the form of insults.  Those insults would be: just exercise, don't eat too much, try eating a salad, etc.  Though as I did more research into food, I realize that their advice was trash.  Salad isn't the only healthy thing, and it's not a requirement to eat.  You can have junk food, so long as you don't binge on it.  Fat is not the devil.  Some of the healthiest things are full of fat (nuts, salmon, tuna, avocados, seeds, etc).

THIS IS AN MANGA ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING BEYOND THIS CHAPTER.

                ----------------------------------------

Now after the contest, Najika has become more known and well like among the students at the school. All but some that is.. It seems that Akane still hates Najika and now we know why (Lol one could kinda guess this right off the bat beginning from chapter 2 lol), she actually likes Daichi. It was a good moment when Daichi and Akane were eating the rice cake back then for Akane's sake because of the side effects of the extreme diet (Akane seemed okay at that moment). But now that she finds out who actually made the cake, and also seeing Daichi with Najika again, she finally snaps and and vows to never forgive her (even to go back to the dreaded extreme diet). My thoughts on this, is that this was a great chapter, it shows us Akane's side of the story and why she acts the way she does.
