Great stuff and nice ending. Overall I'd say Genbu Kaiden is superior to the original series. Without question Takiko and Uruki are superior as main characters to Miaka and Tamahome, but wouldn't go as far as to say the side characters are. I think the Suzaku warriors had a bit more chemistry together. Nuriko and Hotohori in particular I found more entraining than any of the Genbu warriors, and I found Nakago a more interesting villain to what Genbu Kaiden gave us in terms of antagonists. But as a whole, this series trumps the original and is probably the best manga Isekai I've ever read. Good stuff, and I'm hoping the Byakko chapter can live up to this one.
