So the dad comes back just to drag her to America? lol . . . Anyways, isn't that better for her? I mean she is actually pretty skilled so if she played with the girls she might be able to do really well . . . Plus then she could actually date Eniwa.
Though I guess Japan isn't like America when it comes to sports . . . In America if the guy's team is clearly better than the girl's team in a sport (for most sports), or if they don't offer the female equivalent, then the girl is actually allowed to play on the guy's team provided she is good enough. She was a starter so guessing she was good enough to play for the guy's team . . .
