Yeah this chapter was very anticlimatic. It started off good, thinking they needed the aliens to pilot a ship to get back, which would have been interesting. But no, one of the balls is still working somehow. Or is it? Are they really being transported back home? As far as I saw, there was no proof they were. I think one of those transported was being interviewed by the media back on earth, when he was talking about the easiest way to defeat the giants. :)
Honestly, this chapter makes me wonder what the big build-up with those divine-alien things was. It didn't really seem to amount to much other than an overwrought lesson in philosophy.
