with that said, the pacing of this arc is getting on my nerves. I'm okay with the fact that every 2 chapters or so, we get introduced to the members of the Osaka team. However, we haven't had any progress with the plot at all.

Well look at Nishi. The guy is supposed to be some battle-hardened veteran, but he easily was owned by the weak chicken.  Gantz fucks everyone up with the difficulty spikes.
