Claymore Chapter 98 Discussion

And I thought Priscilla owned in the last chapter... This chapter just topped all of that, though. Priscilla is... a beast, to put it lightly. o-o



When Clare noticed Priscilla's Yoki in the last panel, I literally threw both fists  in the air. I was so excited. xD



I am gonna die waiting for the next chapter now that Clare has sensed her, though. The Clare and Priscilla confrontation is what I have been waiting for all this time, and it's finally about to begin! (Hopefully, at least. I really have no idea what Yagi Norihiro has planned...)

Maybe she still notices the awesomeness of Priscilla's power? Cause she was faced with Priscilla's power as a human. Maybe she still kinda recognizes it cause she notices it is as extreme as the time she felt it as a human?



(I know I am seriously stretching here, though, but I'm trying. xD)

Bah. Priscilla is just so ridicilously overpowered that if she and Clare are to confront eachother, there's no way it'll end without the latter going into Super Sayan -mode.

I really hate Beth and Alicia, but when an Awakened Being cries, you know things can't get more sad.

An Abyssal One is a awakened former no.1 or someone with equal power. The psychic power was only neccesary for allowing the awakened twin to return to her human form after battle, it doesn't augment their power in any way so awakened Alicia WAS an Abyssal One while Beth unnatural awakening probably turned her into such.

There are also numerous factors we don't know regarding how powerful they are when they become claymore. We don't know if it matters what part of a yoma they use or where they put it, or if the yoma itself has any effect. It could easily vary person to person as well.

That said, there's even more we don't know about Alicia and Beth. Because they're twins, if the organization used the same part of the same yoma (split the organ in half or something), it's possible that Alicia and Beth have the same power and their numbers are simply a result of "let's just pick the one that's going to awaken and that will be #1".



Even if Alicia and Beth don't have the same level of power, we still know that Alicia is at least as strong, if not more so than Riful who is considered an Abyssal One. Remember, the organization didn't know about the Luciela-Rafaela being and they sent the abyssal eaters (or whatever their name is, I've forgotten) to simply find Riful. Alicia and Beth were actually sent to fight and kill Riful, who the organization assumed would be at full power when when they got there. So we know at least that much.

Yeah, that's kinda what I meant. So she still remembers that sensation she felt as a human. She may not know Priscilla's exact yoki, cause she could not sense yoki at that time, but at least the sensation is still there. (Hopefully that makes more sense.)

Something to keep in mind is that Clare has Teresa in her, and Teresa did sense Priscilla's yoki. So Clare has not only her experience as a child, but potentially some faint memories from Teresa as well? Not necessarily any vivid memories, but perhaps some feelings left over from before she died. All Clare brought the organization was Teresa's head, so who knows what part of it they used to infuse Clare. If they used the brain well, yoma gain all the memories from humans when they eat their brains so I could see it working the same going the other way, albeit to a severely reduced effect.

During her first encounter with Riful Clare mentioned that "I witnessed it once already in the past... An immense and utterly sinister yoma energy like this..." IMHO the only thing that she can be reffering to is the moment when she saw Priscilla awakening. The fact that she sensed it so clearly as a human might be a result of facing Proscilla right after her awakening when she was not concealing her true aura, and if that is true and Priscilla youki is as overwhelming for a human senses as is Riful aura is for trained senses of a Claymore...

*Priscilla lightly grabs head and pushes it downwards. Head falls off* That's pretty much a one-hit-kill against anything.
