cid and gallk did a good fight indeed but they admited that they were no match for that yome. also, despite they are levelheaded, they seemed that they never fought before a yoma.finally, who says that the city never hired claymores before, just like they did with clare?
finally the fact that he didn't put an effort to kill yoma (even clare needed her powers in the first chapters to kill a single yoma) makes me believe that he isn's human. i believe that he is a new race.
NO match strength-wise, maybe, but strength is nothing. Priscila owned Teresa in surprise, and that pretty much set in stone the stuff about the surprise kills...
And they might have fought a ot of yoma...lets not forget that this was a shitload of years old and had all the neat stuff, making him comparable to a weak ab.
The only thing Humanity was lacking was ability to deffend themselves and to actually hurt the enemies(ab case).
Were all soldiers equipped with something similar to Raki, during the Agatha fight, it might have been a bit better
Its the same as the man going against tank. Unless you have a rocket launcher you have no means of successful attack.
And Claire...Claire at the first chapter was a bit stronger than Clarice....thats ALL. She did not get her strength boost until the Rabonna arc and half-awakening. Till then she would be easily owned by anyone in ranks 30-40.
yes Cid and Galk did train in the Rabonna army and etc, but can that training be anything similar to what can the stronger swordsman in the Land offer? Easley had a pretty good understanding about any weapons, choosing a perfect match to fight his enemies every time. Thus he knew the weakness of enemy almost instantly. + He had a lot of more time than Cid and Galk to perfect his skills. Cid and Galk had the normal lives and Yoma, I bet, did not appear very often.
Easley on other hand - his entire life was a fight, and Raki, he and Priscila traveled through the land. I bet there's a lots of yoma and ABs not in control by Easley. All the time he was with Easley, it was a big survival test for Raki. You could almost say that he almost lived entire 4-7 years in battlefield, while being trained by the person who had a perfect understanding of weapons.
Humanity IS strong race, a simple athletic man or olympic runner can easilly outrun any soldier. Why? Because being in army does not actually mean you will get the super-training...
Also lets not forget that not everything depends on the size of our muscles or the speed of your legs.
Also...Priest did imply that it was the first FIRST time of meeting a claymore...
