It was so nice when Ilene gave her arm to Clare...

My reaction to Ilena's gift to Clare was exactly the same as her. I stood for a good half a minute looking at her surprised face of realization. It's sad that Raphaela found Ilena, I'm not sure she'll be able to survive.

Clare probably found awakened Ophelhia, though with her new technique and the new arm, she may be able to defeat her this time.

Irene can regenerate her body parts back as human body parts

but, Irene can't regenerate her body parts back as Claymore body parts

(Irene chooses not to regenerate her arm/s because she sees her arm as a symbol of fighting and Irene has given up on the life of a warrior, wanting to die as a peaceful non-combatant/warrior aka a "human", as she was jealous of Teresa experiencing humanity and being happy through being with Clare)

Poor Irene, she was a good person.

Talking about Teresa, how I miss her hehe

Oh, Irene gave her only arm to Clare. Though Irene said she can regenerate, how come her other arm has no progress -anyway

Clare's life is a proof of Teresa's existence -very nice

Omg! Irene will never see Clare again

Don't they (the offensive type) need Yoma power to regenerate a normal human arm ? maybe that's why she didn't do it. She supressed her yoma to not be detected by the organization...

Ooh good point, I was wondering about that. Well now she's got no arms, so she has to regenerate at least one of em.

Shakey,

cough cough, you spoke to soon (presumably) .... (not that it would have mattered even if she had both her arms, hehe).

Robinni,

(this might not have been revealed yet by the manga, but meh)

Both Regeneration and Re-Attachment require the Memory of the body part's structure or of its structure in how it connected with the rest of the body.

And with time, one's Memory degrades, so there's only a limited time frame for Regeneration and/or RE-Attachment to be done.

that's a good point.

however, Irene already gave away her location from her use of the Quick Sword, so this is no longer a reason to not use her regeneration to create a human arm.

irene explains why though:

Irene sees her arms as tools/weapons for combat. As she never learned to use her arms/hands for anything else except wielding a claymore sword and killing Yomas, lol.

So, Irene wanted to die a "human", like Teresa due to jealousy of seeing Teresa "human like" with little human Clare so long ago. Though Irene didn't have a human companion, she was content to live out her life peacefully as a "human".

(there's a funny fan pic, of armless Irene staring at a glass of wine or whatever, trying to figure out how to drink it.... hehe)
