Fairy Tail Chapter 485 Discussion

-I think this plan to negotiate with August may actually work. Considering how OP he is supposed to be this would be a way to get him out of the picture without some BS.

-Giant Happy was great, nice to see Brandish actually helping out.

-Sting was acting like a little bitch so that slap was very satisfying.

-I am hyped for the Bradman-Gajeel fight.

This is definitely one of the better chapters this arc, good art, great dialogue, nice pacing, and good set up for the  next few chapters. 4/5 seems to be a fair score

Despite FT's flaws, "good art" is a standard of this series. I give Mashima credit where it is due.

Bringing Natsu to a negotiation...they deserve whatever happens.

Don't get overly hyped, he is just going to defeat Bradman in 2 chapters (max) after getting Dragon Force, at this point in the arc I would give credit to any Spriggans who last 4 chapters or more.



Yeah. I'm sure he will be defeated pretty quickly considering how all the other spriggans were beaten. I just like the thought of two intimidating looking monsters clashing.



I swear to god if August takes less than 4 chapters for him to be defeated, I will rage. I'm kinda sick of hearing how strong he is for about a year now. He better wreck house.





God Serena was hyped AF from chapter 290 (since GOI were hyped by Jura) indirectly and he was directly hyped for about 50 chapters since introduction of Alvarez arc.



See what happened to him, killed off (one shotted) to hype a character who needs no more hype, already said to be the strongest individual in the manga. He couldn't even show his full power/abilities. Hiro thinks this war is a joke!



I dont expect anything from August either, hes gonna defeated in a 1 vs 1 by Natsu or Gildarts, irrespective of his hype. I am hoping for the better, but expecting the fight to be bad. Whenever I think it cant get any worse, Hiro breaks the barrier and becomes even worse



I never really expected anything from Serena though. Considering that he was supposedly the weakest of the Spriggan. Then again, Acnologia is too OP as fuck so who knows what damage he could've done.



Oh well, too bad for Serena though,  he kinda has a giant hole in him haha.

People were saying that about every Spriggan that lost.  It got so bad people started posting that Mashima wanted 6 but the editors pushed for 12 when it was the other way around.



Those people are just damage controlling lol.



Again, Mashima wanted 12, editors knew that it would be a fuck up so they said 12 is too big and he should cut it down to 6.

Mashima didnt listen and now see the shit we have. At this point I dont think Hiro could handle even 6 Spriggans since only 5 are left and I expect them also to be defeated in a pathetic way.



Look at how God Serena was handled, he was arguably one of the most hyped characters in the entire series (actually only behind Acnologia and Zeref) when he was first introduced.

Wait what Serena the weakest spriggan? wth? He is definitely a strong Spriggan and above the likes of Neinhart, Ajeel, Wahl etc



That is arguable. Even with all of the destruction he caused when he supposedly lost himself in the fight, the overall scale of his powers was actually small. Ajeel wrapped all of Magnolia in a vicious sandstorm and was sucking the life outta of Erza if not for the Cannon miraculously hitting only him.



Okay you don't like Serena... but canon blast < Acnologia, that pretty much sums it up. Everything about the spriggans and how they rank amongst them, in terms of power, its debatable, true, but Ajeel got KO-ed by a canon, Serena got one shotted by the dragon king, arguably the most powerful character in the FT verse, at the moment, so I'd say it's not that fair to compare those two's situations.

Wait, Natsu wanted to be hugged by Brandish too?
