Didnt really like this chapter very much. First of all erza is a really boring character and its quite unwise of mashima sensei to explore her utterly boring character background. Whats worse is how similiar eileen is build up as compared to erza, one being the so called strongest female spriggan 12, and the other the strongest fairy tail woman. By introducing someone like eileen who is mentioned in the same breath of the likes of august, august suddenly seems less threatening and powerful than hyped, and it sets up a possible outcome of Natsu making easy work of august just as he did with jacob. Im also pretty sure Ur is not as strong as the chapter depicted her to be, how is she  owning gray who has devil slayer magic which is evidently superior to ice make, and lyon whoose mastery over ice make is superior to gray? I mean, then she couldnt even defeat Deliora, who is probably only as strong as a tatarus gate member like seilah

The last time I was even remotely hyped was chapters 464-465 which featured two of the three characters that should be getting the most focus but no we have to deal with 12 lackluster characters



God this arc is the prime example of wasted potential



Irene isn't special so why the hype? People are setting themselves up for disappointment. She was pulled from Hiro out of nowhere to make Erza relevant in this arc which unnecessary.



483 sucked. One shots everywhere characters being OOC. Charle and her cringeworthy dialogue. Jellal beating Failhart with a basic spell and Failhart not even attempting to fight.



And the historias amounted to jack crap

I think one reason why Hiro keep Brandish with FT team is because he didn't knew how FT member can defeat her properly since Brandish can practically wipe the whole island in an instant.



The God Serena is weak joke is also pretty amusing, he is far from weak, he is just unfortunate that he is on the bad guy side, if he were with FT team, he will goes all 'I'll protect my Continent and it's people' and manage to gave Acnologia a few scratch, that just how FT power scaling work,  Hiro will always makes FT team stronger than their enemy no matter how strong thay are even if its didn't makes sense.



Especially now that the so called strongest Spriggan gonna make their appearance, I'm expecting a lot of nakama power bulshit in the upcoming fight tbh.

Gildarts fought Acnologia.oh he didn't fought him he got rekt before he knew what happened.Oh, let's not forget how Makarov hold Acnologia alone with his barehand back at Tenryojima.

Considering how Gildarts got one shotted by Acnologia 'off screen' and how Makarov can hold him at Tenroujima, it's safe to assume that the already fodder Makarov > Gildarts, thats mean Gildarts, FT strongest magician is weaker than an even more fodder Makarov that only capable of fighting fodder at Tartaros Arc.

So I didn't see any point of Gildarts existences at this point.

Well Gildarts also said that Acnologia wasn't using the same power he used when they 'fought', and it was merely toying with the Fairy Tail members.

funny cause I think he said that it was over before he knew what happened.it seems to me that he got God Serena's treatment.luckily,he wasn't a Dragon Slayer so he survived.

Did not enjoy this chapter. This Eileen looks like she is up in the North along with Bradman. Gajeel's group don't look so good.

I'm just waiting for the story line with Zeref and Acnologia now. Only thing I'm really looking forward to.

okay, so let me get this straight..... jellal's mere AURA alone's capable of changing the whole atmosphere even in the skies on the horizon?.....skies in the horizon are ranging from several km..... and he oneshotted a freaking spriggan with nothing other than his day to day casual spells(grandchariot is not even considered his ultimate spells)

Still doesn't excuse him one-shotting Neinhart with one of his weakest spells. So if we do power scaling now, he should be able to one-shot Zeref if he uses Abyss Break/Sema, which is ridiculouszeref's on an entirely different league compared to spriggans... Just look at acno 1 shotting serena without using any magic.... Jellal needed a named albeit not ultimate spell.... See the difference?



Zeref admitted that he is no match for Acnologia, and don't remind me of God Serena getting one shotted, that was too disappointing after the display with next 4 WS. Zeref << acnologia



August is compared to Zeref, and August is a Spriggan (a top tier spriggan). If Jellal could one shot a mid tier Spriggan (Neinhart) with his weakest named spell, then he can one shot August with his strongest spell, which means he can do at least significant damage to Zeref with Sema/Abyss Break



Now you get why this fight was bad? Cause this implies:

spriggans are shit (well, they were shitted on since the beggining, but this was the worst)

Jellal got from say Wolfheim/Warrod level to August level in 1 year, since he wasn't even trying against Neinhart (angry =/= going all out, Jellal won with his weakest named spell)

Loved this chapter due to the fact that there was an awesome series of counter attack vs the historia.

Loved the last page with Irene that probably is related to erza. But i cant stop thinking that Gildrarts will come and ask her to marry him ........

So when you say 'one-shot' I get it in Neinheart's case (sorta will try to explain why based on what you answer) but the rest... not really? I mean to me a one shot is something like what Natsu did to the Avatar scrubs and Bluenote, right? Can we agree on that? But fighting someone than using a 'powerful' attack to finish your enemy is categorized as a one-shot? Regardless if said move/attack is BS or not.

It's not really "finishing off" your enemy if they haven't taken any damage in the first place.
