And nakama power saves the day. I knew the assassin was defeated the second he told mavis that he has the entire guild hostage and they will all die. I wish the author did something differently for a change these spriggans are a joke. Natsu will first get his ass kicked, lucy may help then just when natsu is about to get defeated he will talk some random crap about friendship or the importance of the guild and get a powerup. He will then kick the assassin's ass.
I am more interested in August. I think either gildarts or makarov will face him.
First get his ass kicked huh? No I'm expecting a onesided stomp until August shows up. Assassin's are the type that are at their most lethal when in the shadows, aiming to kill and get out before even noticed. Meaning that if they get found out and they get attacked head on, they don't have that high survivabilty. Jacob is a glass cannon like that.

It is a battle shounen. Nobody cares about tactics it is just about who can make the bigger explosion. He might be an assassin but I am sure he can make big explosions since he is a spriggan. I don't think it will be a one sided fight because they need to save someone for gildarts when he appears and august is perfect for that. I think it will be the same as every other fight - 1. Natsu gets beaten up, 2. Natsu gets emotional and powers up, 3. Natsu wins.
Given how he talked about himself I sincerely doubt it. Plus the next chapter is called STEALTH. And given Natsu's keen senses, that's likely not going to work
