This is a 1/5 chapter. I knew the Spriggans were doomed when Mashima opted to have 12 instead of 5
Actually that's on Spriggan every 3.6 chapters, but at least I can say with the Wizard Saints out the Spriggans can say they have a win/step towards their goal now.
Bro 18 chapters is really really short. And the fact these were supposed to be the main antagonists?! That's underwhelming at its worst. 5 Spriggans were either beaten or turned to Fairy Tail's side in 18 chapters. I could understand 1 or 2 but FIVE?! You're joking right? And the Spriggans won't win because they've been thrashed with very little resistance. And they don't have a Hell's Gate like the demons to revive and grow more stronger
Add to the fact the Spriggans haven't really done anything. They've made no impact except Brandish's intro but look what happened her lol.
Dimaria got her ass handed to her by Chelia of all characters. Her fight with Wendy was decent but that was it. The Spriggans are one more embarrassing moment away from Avatar level lmao
Mashima stated that they had originally planned for 5 or 6 Spriggans but he changed it to 12 for certain reasons, so hopefully when it comes down to that number, that is when they'll be truly fleshed out.

What's wrong with that? Chelia is a god slayer and DiMaria had a god takeover so it is completely logical plus the move she used against DiMaria was said to be able to kill Wendy in GMG by Jellal. People complain when side characters don't get enough screen time and they also complain when the SC do get the screen time, jeez.
"Chelia is a god slayer" couldn't careless. Natsu and the other dragon slayers could do a damn thing against the dragons and they all have better feats than Chelia.
She was a background character who barely had anything to her than being lolis with Wendy. She had little feats to suggest anything let alone take down Dimaria but the plot called which still makes very little sense. Your other argument still matter little considering Chelia didn't kill Wendy and Wendy got shot by DiMaria
Is she important in anyway? Why should Chelia deserve screentime?
1) Maybe it's because dragon > 'gods' in this series
2) That wasn't DiMaria's strongest attack (then again we never saw what was) whereas that was Chelia's strongest attack which would be much more effective on DiMaria since she was a 'god' and combined with the magical levels obtained from Third Origin. Though it being able to kill Wendy is not a given, since a character's words are not always accurate.
3) Say that to the many people wanting side characters to have screen time on the other websites :/.
