Fairy Tail Chapter 442 Discussion

Did anyone else notice the inconsistency with Natsu's bandages on his right arm? The panels where he was at the mango shack his bandages weren't there. I think also for his first attack against Marin his bandages weren't there either.

It was okay. Relatively generic start, though wasn't expecting much to begin with. I do wonder what kind of 'space' he sent Lucy & Erza to though, and whether it's a place where they can chill and have tea or are unconscious or somethin'.

The Spriggan 12 are supposed to be at the level of the #1 Wizard Saint who is the strongest in Ishgar. I don't see how they should be allowed to win this fight.

Ugh, this arc is unfolding just like all the others. Hopes brutally murdered.



Step 1. Introduce powerful new threat

Step 2. Fairy Tail says "We'll fight them!!"

Step 3. Villains make their appearance acting cocky as hell boasting their enormous powers.

Step 4. Villains proceed to defeat Fairy Tail in fight (but everyone is ok enough to fight later).

Step 5. Fairy Tail comes back to fight, but now the differences in power are drastically lessened.

Step 6. Regular Fairy Tail fight ensues with slight back and forth until Fairy Tail pulls out a victory.

Step 7. Rinse and repeat.



I was really hoping this arc could move away from this mold, but this chapter denies such hopes... >.>

That guy is only an issue because he can  warp around,seal any magic that involves space,except his own,and punish those who violate his magic by banishing them to his personal dimension. He reminds me of racer from oracion seis. Pretty sure there is a catch to his magic.

And oopsy daisy,whatever happened to the haters saying that Natsu was going to fodderize the empire? And Plotza? Ah,now they are going for the nakama power? I love you guys for always enlightening my days.



Well we need to wait and see what this girls is made of. Even if Natsu doesn't one shots her, there will be people complaining about "How will Natsu defeat Acnologia...". So you can't really please anyone haha

When they said that the emperor had 11 mages equal to Serena,that was a figure of speech,since it's quite clear there is an hierarchy. That Brandish is number 12,so she is technically the weakest.



I imagine that the stronger ones are Hades tier.



One observation:In a fight,strength isn't enough. Ultear could melt Gray's ice and she still lost. Zancrow could eat Natsu's flame and ,despite what some could perhaps rightfully consider an asspull,Natsu won. Natsu could eat Jackal's explosions. All fights are also determined by how can the opponent negate or weaken the other's magics. It isn't absolute as was shown by the first two examples I said,but it's still there. For instance,that guy could negate Lucy,Erza and Mest's spatial magic. Not even Erza,who is among Ishgar's strongest  legal mages could get around it.



Maybe Brandish has a type of magic that allows her to get around or overpower Natsu and Gray's. Or she is simply that much stronger. Honestly,if Natsu and company couldn't one shot Avatar's side branches,after defeating the mightiest of the dark guilds in Ishgar,I would have been worried,lol



Also,people bitching about Natsu are being idiots. He is the protagonist. If you hate him that much,you are wasting your time with the manga. Plus,an invincible hero would be perhaps Naruto,Ichigo and Luffy. Natsu has a terrible record. Many of his victories needed support,and he lost many times because he tends to pick opponents that are clearly stronger than him or can get around his magic.

But Minerva has been nerfed though... Or Am I Just missing out something cuz... meh :/Similar but not the same. If they were the same then it would just be called territory magic and would get pawned by Fairy Tail lol.

Here we go again we all know the recipe by now. Hipping villains and then having Fairy Tail beat their ass. This 12 Springan people are supposedly as strong as the stronger mage in Fiore's continent but by the end of the arc Fairy Tail will be kicking their ass.



Anyway girls in swimsuits and a new hot bitch. Therefore good chapter because personally that is the best expectations i have from Fairy Tail.
