Fairy Tail Chapter 420 Discussion

I wanted to see Lucy vs Natsu.

I think any conjecture that she won't rejoin Fairy Tail will end up being moot, honestly. I doubt Mashima would have gone to the trouble of having us even encounter Wendy at this point if he didn't intend on having her rejoin. Ever since she joined following Oracion Seis, she's been a main character and an integral part of Team Natsu, and she's the guild's healing mage. She'll come back.



Of course, we don't know what Wendy or Lamia Scale has been doing or thinking for the past year outside of this glimpse. It's very possible both Wendy and the guild knew it would be a temporary ordeal, and that she'd eventually leave if Fairy Tail ever came back. Wendy had Chelia there, and I'm very sure Lyon, Chelia, and Jura would encourage Wendy to return with Natsu and co. because they understand how important Fairy Tail is to Wendy. Heck, I bet they'd return her guild emblem too. I doubt Wendy will be walking around without it.



People also seem to be thinking Wendy just shrugged off Fairy Tail's disbandment and jumped right into Lamia Scale when that isn't likely at all. Wendy is sensitive and she's demonstrated time and time again that she loves Fairy Tail and it's members. More time with Lamia Scale or not, the experiences she's had in Fairy Tail undoubtedly have far more meaning and having to join Lamia Scale would have been extremely hard for her no matter who was in the guild.



Something that people seem to be overlooking... Carla's ability to see the future. Her line this chapter may have the hidden meaning that she had a vision of them showing up, in which case both Wendy and Lamia Scale might have known as well. Thinking on why they skipped the GMG... it's possible they did so to have their Thanksgiving while Wendy was still around, so they could see her off properly. This is just conjecture but...



tl;dr, Wendy will rejoin Fairy Tail and any of these theories suggesting otherwise seem extremely unlikely.

I hope Gajeel next to be recruited.

Also gonna write off Lucy pushing for sparring as her subconscious need to vent/beat on Natsu in regards for her issues with the guild and with natsu leaving that were hinted those last previous two chapters.
