I see people say this chapter had no progression for the story?? I mean it shows what Natsu & Happy are doing in their training journey, isn't that progression?? It also showcased how Natsu changed as a character (pushing Gildarts further away, refusing to continue the match after seeing Gildarts blewing up a mountain, that's something that old Natsu wouldn't have done....). I might be wrong tho.

Daaaaw that was as adorable as the first silent Gildarts chap. Not much else to say though, wonder who this challenger might be.

That being said Mashima has been on a roll this past two weeks. Ch 416, the latest FT Zero, and this new chapter had the old pre-timeskip FT charm.



Hopefully the new arc is as good as the old FT because imo the Grand Magic games and Tartaros arc had been quite underwhelming with countless unremarkable fights save a few chapters here and there.



You're in the minority about the Tartaros arc bud.
