So it really was just the other dragons huh? Well that's cool. Next week the Bbig mystery surrounding END huh. This oughta be interesting...

Did it look like the two were about to fight over it to anyone else? The book itself might naturally give off negative emotions to whoever is close to it...

It's not gone...for the last time it's just deactivated for now. Look back at chapter 398 specifically. Gray turns the power on and off whenever he needs to.



Why deactivate it when he's about to destroy END? Makes no sense. And once again TATTOO POWERS ARE NEVER PERMANENT in Fairy Tail. This has been the precedent thus far.



Yeah completely ignore the other time the tattoo was shut off and he turned it back on to further your own argument. I provided evidence, you provided nothing in return to refute said evidence.



Plus like you just said, how can Gray destroy END if his devil slayer magic is now gone?

A much as I want that to be true, Lucy still had the tattoos and obviously will still have that power.

With Lucy its probably the same thing as Gray, the tattoo just deactivates when not in use. Lucy is the most deserving of a powerup since she sacrificed something to gain it, I don't see why she would lose said power up after losing one of her celestial spirits for good.



There's no guarantee it's lost for good. Hell the new filler in the anime has the princess making keys. There could be an arc dedicated to finding the new key or making one for all we know. Lucy's spirits are too important for her to lose one for good especially one as precious to her as Aquarius



Filler arcs in the anime don't determine what is possible in the source manga (Also those are not regular celestial spirit keys used for making contracts and summoning. They're just keys for closing the gates). Also why do you think Lucy should get her spirit back? losing Aquarius was important character development for Lucy and can lead to future growth. Just because its sad doesn't mean the author should try to deus ex machina the situation just to make the character happy.



Key of the Starry sky arc was confirmed as canon though. cobra's new look matched that of the one he had in the filler arc. As well as Yukino mentioning it as the Zentopia incident. It's not about it being sad it's about taking away from a summoner's summoning pool thus cutting down on their power.



Besides remember how Loke's key APPEARED in Lucy's hand after she talked and convinced the spirit king to take him back? There's no reason why Aquarius can't do the same.



Plus the 12 celestial spirits are ONE of a kind. They are unique and it's not like Aquarius is dead. Taking out one of them permanently makes no sense



I know it was confirmed canon but those events still did little to effect the main plot of the manga, like at all. Also it was just a generally badly written filler arc, as is the current Celestial Spirit filler arc which seems aimed at being pure comedy for whatever reason. I don't take either seriously in the grand schemes of things and I don't think either lives up to the standards of Mashima's writing style. Also who cares if the Celestial Spirits of the 12 Zodiac Gates are one of a kind? Permanently writing one of them out is great drama!



No it isn't. Not when the emphases of a celestial spirit mage is to own ALL of them at some point for some legendary reason. There are only 12 golden keys in the entire world. They are not mass produced like the silver ones. That puts them at far greater importance than your average magic



Lucy can't get all of them, unless Yukino gets killed off for whatever reason which would be equally as dumb. Lucy now has acquired Aquarius' power directly, making her far more powerful. If I would have to guess, she's going to have to do this systematically one by one with all her spirits just to have a chance at survival.



Maybe the whole point of the keys in the first place was to destroy them to gain true power rather than just collecting them all? It's quite possible actually. Most of the celestial spirits have proven extremely weak in comparison with most of the main villains of the series, their truth worth might be in combining their power directly with that of a wizard.



Except that goes against the very concept of the bond between mage and spirit. And what did Lucy actually gain from destroying Aquarius. A barrier of some sorts. Wow that truly makes up for a giant tsunami that Aquarius could make if she was near enough water. Your concept is ludicrous.



darklight,as far as i like lucy keeping aquarius 'power, it's still impossible, remember mard know celestial king? maybe layla summon c.s and sacrifice one of the keys aNd later on,it was restore for unknown reason!

Chapter got all feely the moment Grandine showed up <3 I really want to see her and Wendy reuniting. I'm a bit iffy on how Sting's & Rogue's dragons are here since they were known as dead. But then again, we only had those two's confirmation so I suppose its unreliable.



It's pretty obvious that if the Dragons hadn't started tackling Faces left and right, Natsu & Gray would start punching each other. And honestly? That's extremely predictable given the situation. Best friends, who pretend to be rivals, duking it out for opposing views is too common.



I've figured it out! inb4 the dragons end up dying in some way and their respective dragon slayers bathe in their blood and become dragons who oversee/protect Fairy Tail in the end! lel



I'd hope Igneel wouldn't die given his appearance is too recent, but alas. Mashima isn't too subtle with his plot twists.

Nah I see a Milky Way type final talk happening After the situation with END is resolved. I do expect Natsu to completely break though. Losing Igneel should hit him pretty damn hard

Jeez guys its so obvious, E.N.D. Aka Evil Natsu Dragneel is different variation of natsu that zeref sought out to destroy him after his fight with natsu dragneel in the past. So he used the eclipse door to go to different timelines where he found an evil natsu that he then demonized to increase his powers in hopes that he'll have the strength to destroy him. Igneel fought this evil natsu and was unable to destroy it so he searched out his own natsu that he would raise to be strong and kind since he knew one day his power would be something to be reckoned with.



prob doesnt make sense in a few ways but theyll work out the kinks

I know, but the fact that almost everyone believes that, it seems too obvious. And as Mard said, END will reborn from the emptiness  FACE left after erasing all magic. I am guessing it would have also erased the seal itself. But now that FACE failed i can't really guess what will happen. Maybe Zeref is Natsus real father, that would explain much XD
