I figured Natsu would come in when Lucy told Wendy to heal him up. That's the joy of having that kind of mage on your team. Even if you're down, you won't be for very long.

Mashima almost went to the dark side. Almost. 4/5 for the introduction of the darker theme, but it lost 1 point for not actually following through with it.



Forgivable if he keeps going down the dark side, which he seems to be doing with the demons arc, but completely unforgivable if he just leaves this theme and keeps going "Friendship magic is best magic"

Nice chapter, glad Natsu has somewhat of an advantage over Jackal.

Don't think Lucy's choice would have mattered as Jackal would have probably blew them both up after proving his point that humans are "Ugly" after she choose a side.

Whoa there Natsu! You crazy son of a dragon!



Bomb Bastard was out of league when compared to Wendy and Lucy so no surprise it was Natsu. These two still need more char and power development.



Also Lucy choosing one to die might be an unnecessary char development. She is the kind of char who doesn't like people to die.

Nice action, and this chapter established that Micaelo is an asshole.

On the other hand...random and forced hostage situation solved by typical Natsu behaviour. Ehh, whatever.
