As i see it he has very strong magic flowing inside him but he may actually be weak in battle if his magic isn't specialized for combat purposes. So basically is not that he isn't a better magician it's just that he isn't a combat magician.

I knew it! When the flashback kicked in, right before they showed the guild! What a sweet chapter. I wonder if this'll be a mini arc like Deliora. Would be fun if it was. Tired of long ones.

The plot for nxt 'arc?' seems really interesting. Infinte flames...I can already see where this is heading. Natsu's definitely gonna beat the main antagonist with that.

Loved the last part. The creation of FT and the founders. Really wondering why they chose Mavis as the leader though? All of them seem pretty dependable.
