I am starting to think that it's not so much as Future Lucy lying as much as it might be the fact that she isn't the only one from the future.



Arcadios has never seen Lucy until this chapter. He only knows someone from the future spoke to the Princess. So naturally he concludes, that the someone in question is Lucy. BUT if Lucy was the one who spoke to the Princess, why is she trying to take them to Jellal? It would simplify matters entirely if she just went to the Princess.



This is why I think the one the Princess spoke to was not Lucy.
