I might have misunderstood the intent of this chapter but if I didn't get it wrong, then this is some fantastic stuffs we're getting. Kyoko has been subconsciously thinking that Ren will never belong to another person because of what he said when she disguised as Bo, therefore it's fine even if she suppressed her own emotion since she will never be hurt if she doesn't reveal it and Ren will never find happiness for himself. She basically realized how terrible she has been, wishing for Ren to never gain happiness just because she's in love and she's afraid of being hurt - hence the stagnant romantic development between the two.
I agree, this is Skip Beat at it's finest! I just love this sort of depth in characters.
