I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO frustrated!

I just finished a manga-reading marathon... read all the 20 volumes since yesterday. And I can't believe how SLOW this story is going!

Wait... story? What's the point of this story, anyway?

In the beginning I thought the main goal of the story was to get Ren and Kyoko together, and that was it. But all I see is random filler scenes happening.

The development of Ren and Kyoko's relationship is like... 10%. She won't admit her feelings and he won't act on his. Plus, their relationship is now leaning waaaay too much friendship to the point where Kyoko won't even remotely consider love.

And just when there's a scene that makes me think "THIS IS IT! ACTION!"..... nothing happens. (I'm remembering the scene of Kyoko falling down in the kitchen and Ren on top of her holding her).  FRUSTRATING!

Many of you won't share my opinion. I just want ROMANCE. Almost everything I watch/read has the goal of finding tons of romance. So in that department this manga is disappointing.

Worst of all... I think this story will continue moving slooooooooooowly for the next 2 years or more. The long-awaited ENDING seems like a distant thing.

Oh please... PLEASE make Kyoko and Ren end up together! During that arc where one of the 'beagles' started stalking Kyoko and then Shotaro ended up saving her... I was SO angry. It make me think that there's still the possibility of Kyoko choosing Shotaro in the end... where he acts all redeemed and recognizes her value.  NOOOOOOOOO! That can't happen!

*end of rant*

haha!!! i actually thought that the start was real. it was just a dream! haha.. and then that was followed by a conversation with ren who i thought was real and just ended up being a doll! hahahaha

anyway... new role natsu... and as usual, kyoko thinks about it, gets depressed, asks ren for help, one way or another ren helps her, and then she gets a breakthrough! but whats with the doves and the contact lenses falling out? hahaha..

I hope they do it too.

You find out alittle more about Ren, but Kyoko doesn't.

She gets other parts and works through those

and the BIG plotline is the party (which I still don't get half of what is going on).  That is much later on though. (which ends around volume 20 I think, started in vol 18 I think again. I don't know off the top of my head)

When the story drags for too long, people are bound to drop it. Like Inuyasha... it was sooo awesome in the beginning but then filler filler filler... 560 chapters and the romance hasn't come true.

But at least Inuyasha is a fantasy story with a lot more elements to play and keep it interesting.

Skip Beat, although a pretty good shoujo, with really funny moments and whatnot... has become too repetitive. Inserting meaningless scenes that last for wayyy too many chapters.

And then some things that I actually WANTED to see... weren't there. Like, how the Dark Moon drama actually turned out.

I don't know if I can keep reading this manga if the only events happening are  "someone's birthday party" or "visiting someone's house" or "shooting another commercial and then taking a long time getting into the character". -- This is becoming too much like "Glass Mask".

I want to see:

- Ren and Kyoko confessing their love and actually dating

- Kyoko's background... why her mother was so cruel and where's her father

- Kyoko finding out about Corn/Ren's identity

In short:   get along with the story, get rid of the fillers, and complete the romance!

I definitely share your opinion.

The first few volumes are phenominal, then you get into the double digets of absolutely nothing. Shou doesn't even appear in volumes 12-19 (Im guessing on this one)

They spend almost 2 volumes talking about a birthday party for the boss's granddaughter.

Its slowely becoming a "eh" series. Something fantastic has to happen to get me to enjoy the rest of it quick.

I agree with the whole the storyline not progressing quickly enough

Mah I still like Ren's character more than Shou though, Shou frustrates me to no end^_^ I'm guessing that's because his situation is basically taking Kyoko for granted and not feeling bad

But honestly he wouldn't have done anything if Kyoko hadn't entered showbix. It's not like he'd have gone back for her

And the three points that algelic mentioned are the main things I want to see as well!!

I wonder why Kyoko doesn't talk to him about his past-_-

It's funny and sad at the same time how she thinks there are three different people (Corn, Kuon and Ren)

How doesn't she make the connection? She almost did with Corn and Kuon but she doesn't realize that they actually are the same, and also that Ren is Corn/Kuon too-_-

Gah I want something with Kyoko and Ren to happen! Some discovery or something:\\
