Buraiden Gai Chapter 17 Discussion

                        Well, that was clever.  I wonder if Gai makes it or not.

Everything makes sense.  My thought process was that there may be a wagon or a vehicle nearby, but a part of me thought that even if so he couldn't use that to climb all the way onto the wall.  Since my first thought was as the director thought, using the rod as a weapon, it clouded my judgment.   But, all things considered finding a vehicle and jumping off of it, then using the bent rod for extra reach is so obvious that I couldn't see it going any other way in retrospect. Plus, it's not easy to shoot in a crowded and small room like the one he started to fight in, and running through the middle of guards that could end up shooting at each other and other kids actually gave him a fair shot.  Gai was impressive to quickly feel that 1/1000 chance and go for it, he acted and he didn’t freeze up at all.



I wonder if he practiced back flipping out of windows.  Either way that move showed that if he ever plays One Poker then he can survive even if he loses, lololol.  I love the action scene, the use of having such an instant impact panels, with the action lines made Gai feel as though he was lightning, instantly striking each foe, moving like the wind.



Now, will he make it?  Doing the math on the image makes it seem like there's a great chance that he will, but speaking on a meta narrative level I find it very perplexing that we would leave the Human Institute this quickly.  I have to imagine Gai will end up back inside one way or another, and perhaps standing on the wall will have him realize that he has nowhere to go.  
Like the first time Norman climbs the wall and they have to go back to create a better plan.
