Hild undoubtedly means well, but no doubt her interference could easily be misconstrued or framed as Lnu aggression to further fan the flames of war, regardless of whether Ivar actually survives or not.

Agree. Either way, her actions will probably be the detonator to an escalation of the conflict.

I think Thorfinn is being quite realistic in the terms of inside Vinland saga. Practically every Lnu wants peace except Miskwekepu’j, and he just went and attacked Thorfinn. Ivar used his sword which wasn’t good, even though Thorfinn told him not to as he was going to De-escalate the situation himself.

Basically the nords are being paranoid, and by trying to prevent the future he saw, Miskwekepu’j is gonna cause it

Based on this chapter I could see Ivar making it. Turns out he really does think he's been doing the right thing.

Stryk's the one who understands both sides but still wanted to stir up trouble to overthrow Thorfinn. He's the one Hild really needs to deal with, Ivar can possibly be reasoned with if he's made to see the Lnu actually don't want to fight.
