I've been waiting for this for such a long time. Floki is scum. He's gotten away with murder for way too long (yes I know Askeladd did the dirty work but it was Floki's idea) It's about time justice was served!
This will put Thorfinn in a very interesting situation. Will he stay true to creed of non-violence? Or will he be so enraged that he cannot hold back? If Thorfinn can't stop himself from punching that jerk from Farmland Saga who disrespected the wheat then it's gonna be REALLY difficult for him to not beat the crap out of the man who betrayed his father and ruined his life.
As cool as it would be to see Thorfinn gut that bastard Floki, it wouldn't be good for Thorfinn's character development. Now that's not to say Thorfinn will never kill again. But if he does it should be to protect someone...not for revenge. Though a Thors style ass whupping would totally be cool with me.
Still Floki seems like a slippery devil and it's not gonna feel right unless he's dead. So if Thorfinn doesn't deal the final blow the question is...who will?
Hild or Einar? They are pretty much Thorfinn's protectors. Now just because Thorfinn may not try to avenge Thors doesn't mean that Floki won't try to kill Thorfinn just in case. Neither Hild nor Einar are gonna allow that (and for very different reasons).
Thorkell? As someone who was quite fond of Thors I doubt he will much too pleased when he finds out the truth...and seeing how he's been rather bloodthirsty as of late. Yeah, Floki better steer clear.
Canute? I doubt he has that much respect for Floki in the first place. When he discovers just how lowly Floki really is, it would not be out of the question for Canute to have him executed. Especially if he goes after Thorfinn.
Disney Villain Death? Floki attacks Thorfinn but blinded by rage, Floki falls off a cliff...
Floki? This is a real stretch but when the truth is uncovered by the rest of the Jomsvikings Floki might be so filled with shame that he might decide to just take his own life himself. I dunno how prevalent suicide though was in viking culture if at all.
Anyhow this will be interesting.
