Stark, please make sure you understand the chapter next time before creating a thread...

Anyway, good chapter. Gudrid is a good, albeit somewhat clicheed character and I am glad that this arc will focus more ont he political situation and organization of their journey. Oh, and that fight scene was well choreographed.

Siggy is quick to swing his di chain around.

There's definitely an issue with trying to get a loan from a hardcore slaver to get startup money for building a land without slaves...

Gudrid's so going to be Thorfinn's wife.

History makes it canon but fuck history. I ship Thorfinn and Slave girl -_-

I wish Thorstein is alive.

I wonder why they want to marry into Leif's family? Trade and shipping rights or something like that I suppose.

That and Leif is the guy who discovered North America. You know being in good terms to the guy who discovered it and going to a nobody's land(There is the native americans i get it) good for building new farms, settlements, house holds and exploit new kinds of riches.

Women were much more respected on the norse society than some places in europe though. Women during the medieval ages have actually better rights(Of course the 20th century is still a better place for women to live now) than during the roman times, the victorian times and austen times since you can have more choice over your personal life, except probably as a bargaining chip for political marriages, though the latter mostly applies for noble women.

Smugglers looking for trouble huh? Well, it's to be expected in their world. Good chapter overall. I'm really liking the pacing here with a development in Vinland, or rather at the Western edge.

That's a cute wig too XD

Is it just me or does the slave that treats Thorfinn's wound looks like the slave from chapter two?

I thought so too XD Maybe Yukimura was just reusing the design for that girl or something.

Reading this manga makes me realize how rough life was for women back then and how little say they had about their lives. Glad I was born in the 20th century.

Is Halfdan the same man with the runaway slave from Thorfinn's flashback? Wonder what's his reason for wanting to join together with Leif's family. It caught Sigurd's attention when Thorfinn mentioned Vinland, maybe the reason is something to do with it?

Fight was decent. Sit and his misunderstanding was funny.

Let's see how long that wig is going to stay there for.

Thorfinn still has them moves. He evaded all those blows nicely.
