Vinland Saga Chapter 93 Discussion

Awesome chapter, awesome manga. Haters can suck it!

Sad and beautiful chapter was sad and beautiful

well I liked the fighting now well its a bit boring with all that talk of peace and so on

Thorfinn still has to find love, Raven ;)

I came pretty close to tearing up during this chapter.

Wait a minute. Create Vinland if it doesn't exist? How the hell does he plan to do that without fighting people?

By sailing to an uninhabited land, obviously.

Stand up Einar. Come with me, brother. Let us make a new land of peace at Vinland."



Argh, this scene really should have had a lot more impact, but honestly we have not spent enough quality  time with Arneis for her death to be this meaningful to the audience. And Einar isn't an endearing enough character for his grief to mean anything, either. Honestly, when Thorfinn called him "brother" my reaction was more like, "Aw, man, we have to spend the whole damn rest of the series with this guy," rather than "Aw yeah, their bond is so beautiful, I am on board with this, woo" like it should have been.



I mean, if Thorfinn was motivated to go to Vinland because of Askeladd or something I would get it, but how am I supposed to care this much about Arneis and Einar?

good chapter. arneis somewhat redeems herself. now that she's dead, einar might actually develop into a decent character

Wonderful chapter that establishes the goals of our heroes in a wonderful way.

Still, we need closure to the other subplots surrounding the saga and I hope we get a few epilogue chapters for this arc.
