Vinland Saga Chapter 50 Discussion

A little combination of Thirty-Six Stratagems 反間計 and 無中生有, using the enemy spies and spreading misinformation.



I like this chapter, schemes and out-witting each other is one of my favorite traits in manga.

                The chapter was way too short! I love Askeladd's schemes though.

The source I had for this chapter was terrible >_< Lesson learned.  But I knew that there was more to the assassination than meets the eye

Askeladd is really the backbone of everything. I doubt the prince would survive without him.

Askeladd is a frickin genius for being a viking... or to be more precise growing up as one. But I still don't understand why they let the spy here what they had to say... and it sucks to be that assasin, getting hired just so that your employer kills you.

Plotting Askeladd is the best part of the prologue (along that speech from the monk to the prince).

Back to Vinland, 28 months later ! It feels good to read the series again, even though I had to discover those next few chapters first in the animation, last year.

Nice schemes...

Askeladd's a sharp as ever. I hope the meeting between King Sweyn and Prince Canute is as intense as last time.

Askeladd really is cunning. Looking forward to the King's reaction to this.

Askeladd is way more interesting than the supposed "hero" of the story so far...
