Intense chapter.

It just seems that Thorfinn would lose. I mean why would Askleladd die by Thorfinn's hands right now? He still has much to do.

I'm suddenly less interested in Thorfinns revenge (It's Floki who deserves his rage anyway) and completely engrossed with Askeladd and Canute, with Thorkell for Norsely comic relief.

Damn...at a cliff-hanger!

Still can't believe how much the prince has changed.



Thorfinn really should've waited for his arm to heal.

Honestly, the story picked up and became a lot more interesting when it started focusing on Thorfinn less. I like the kid, but honestly, "I want revenge for my father's death" is something that has been done 12953952396291526239759252057298 times before so it's just less interesting by nature.

Yeah, starting to get some real serious Griffith vibes from Canute's storyline. Him becoming a monster probably wont be as literal though. P;





Also RIP Bjorn, you were such a cool dude. I really enjoyed his character despite his limited time in the story!

The moment with Bjorn was nice, but personally it felt more built up in the anime. But still nice. RIP Bjorn, Askeladd's only friend among the Danes.

Yeah I think Thorfinn is gonna lose this duel, I can't see Askeladd dying right now... He still has too much to do.

                well since I read all 43-45 at once I figured there was no need to do individual chapter posts for each.



43 - pretty much proved my point that Thorfinn bows his head to no one



44 - Damn I was almost sure Askeladd was going to go for the King's throat the second he mentioned that his mother may have been a slave.  But all in all that meeting was awesome.



45 - Everything is shaping up for one hell of an awesome coup/assassination plot and on another note I'm not looking forward to the idea of Thorfinn losing to Askeladd again.  But at least if he does I can pretty much guarantee that it will be the last time that he does.
