Vinland Saga Chapter 27 Discussion

Back when the monk first was introduced, I mistook him for Thorfinn  (because of the shaggy hair) when his beard wasn't visible  & I still think he looks like an older Thorfinn, but I was certain that there was nothing to it.



Even if the monk knows Thors, it might just be a fateful encounter they've had in a church or something with them discussing their philosophies or influencing each other with that idea of what a true warrior should be like & the quest for love.



It'd be interesting to see how a conversation between the monk and Thorfinn would go. Especially if Thors' ideals are brought up, Thorfinn must've spent the last ten years pondering about his father's words.

The whole "Take what you need to survive" mentality Vikings had is shown really well in this manga.  I guess when you take things your whole life, you never learn to love anything.



That monk character is starting to grow on me.

Is this chapter really only 12 pages? Granted the first page alone must have taken a week to draw but I'm not missing nothing I hope.

Short chapter. People are really struggling with the concept of love here.

                        Ugh, I don't get the priest's way of thinking but from what I can gather he is trying to find something similair to Jesus, to be able to love all humanity, and being able to fogive everyone.
