You Caught My Attention

Tan Yin’s luck had taken a dire turn recently. Not only had she severely offended Chu Hang, the heartthrob of the architecture department, who had just returned from a short-term exchange  programme abroad, but she also got struck by lightning while walking in a thunderstorm! Somehow, instead of killing her, it gave her a new, strange ability: invisibility. 

As the chosen one anointed by lightning, Tan Yin was ready to take on a huge task. Her plan was to make the most of the next thunderstorm to quietly destroy the incriminating evidence that Chu Hang held against her.

However, things didn’t go as planned. 

When she stealthily approached Chu Hang as he took a shower, she saw him holding the incriminating evidence, staring at it coldly. It was a comic book that had recently taken the entire school by storm. In it, Chu Hang, as the male lead, embarked on romantic affairs, one after another. 

Unfortunately…

They were all with men, and he was the submissive one. 

Just as Tan Yin was about to steal back the comic from Chu Hang in the shower, the rain stopped, and her invisibility wore off…

Tan Yin stuttered an explanation, “Chu Hang, I…I can explain, It’s all a misunderstanding.”

Chu Hang, his face devoid of expression, said, “A misunderstanding? I don’t think so. The comic is well-drawn, full of variety, and undeniably stimulating. And now, you want to sneak a peek at me in the shower? Will you leave on your own, or do you prefer I escort you out?”

Tan Yin felt like crying but no tears came. She had pursued Chu Hang for half a year without so much as a glance from him, and now, through the worst possible fiasco, she had finally caught his attention.

Many days later…

Tan Yin pleaded, “I really made it all up in my head, you have to believe me…”

Chu Hang, holding the comic up, replied, “Oh, if you want to draw even better, imagination alone won’t suffice. You must also practice each scenario in reality.”
