The World’s King Slayer

In the depths of the Void lies a transcendent realm, a plane beyond our comprehension, where aspiring Cosmic Gods seek to elevate themselves. At its heart exists the Dream Galaxy, governed by an enigmatic Cosmic entity known simply as the World. The World oversees numerous planets, known as Realms, awarding thrones to rulers who exhibit the potential to ascend to the highest echelons, the Primal realm. Every hundred years, a ritual known as the King's Test unfolds. Since the World abstains from direct involvement, a Champion is summoned from each Realm with similar potential to the chosen king. These King Slayers are formidable warriors, both in strength and prowess, tasked with either showcasing their king's potential through their own demise or eliminating them to pave the way for a new era. However, this iteration holds a unique purpose: to weed out tyrannical kings who have sown discord and ignited civil wars across the Realms. The current King Slayer stands out not just for his immense power, but also carries a Thread of Necessity, signifying a destined path to bring significant change to the realms. The World's goal is to rid the Realms of their wicked rulers and reset the balance. Yet, the King Slayer's own motivations are driven by a desire for power and freedom.
