Seon Jae-chan, the intelligence service’s ‘snake,’ a human ampler and success-oriented human specimen, was a guide known for his evil acts committed in the name of unrequited love for Esper Go Woo-jin.

When faced with death, he sincerely repents the past and wishes for Woo-jin happiness. Perhaps it was because of this that Jae-chan woke up again 6 years ago…

The person I wished to lean on and rely on was such a young person.

Woo-jin was much younger and more beautiful than he remembered. Jae-chan made a new plan, this time to become someone who helps Woo-jin and other important people.

[SUCCESS PROJECT]Jae-chan has succeeded in all projects except for his love for Woojin.

Will he be able to complete this project successfully as well?

It's fascinating! I'm currently reading Chapter 50. The main character, a Guide, becomes fixated on the love interest (ML) but unfortunately dies. Restarting from the past, he vows to prioritize making the ML happy this time around, avoiding any previous misunderstandings or troubles he caused. Believing the ML despises him, he sets out to rectify his mistakes. Little does he know, the truth is:

    Spoilers ahead:
Actually, the ML has always loved him, being the one who mysteriously reversed time after the MC's demise.

I fervently wish for this story to receive an anime or webcomic adaptation, as the narrative is exceptional. It's evident that a lot of thought has gone into crafting it, making it highly engaging. Although the romantic aspect develops gradually, the intricate plot and world-building captivate the reader from beginning to end. A big thank you to the translator for choosing this unique tale; esper stories seem relatively scarce compared to other genres.

The plot is intriguing, featuring a selfless main character (MC) who isn't just a helpless damsel. The story is well-rounded but requires patience. I appreciate the multiple perspectives, which allow us to empathize with the characters' emotions. In Chapter 119, the main love interest (ML) confesses, and it's an adorable scene. He tells his stepmother that the MC is just a sexual partner, and she records it. Later, when she confronts MC, he confirms ML's statement. ML, hearing this, feels sad despite being the one to make the revelation. He avoids touching MC to understand his feelings without any physical pleasure involved.

During their conversation at a restaurant after the confession, MC asks about the touch aversion in the car, and ML explains his concern about not escalating things further. MC initially assumes ML only sees him as a source of pleasure, but as they nearly have a heated encounter in the dorm, ML's true feelings come to light. MC tries to clarify their relationship by suggesting they shouldn't kiss due to 'bad sleeping partner etiquette,' leading to a series of events that ultimately result in ML's confession.

I devoured the story in two days. The MC's ability to provoke situations to protect ML, like when he sacrifices himself to distract the antagonist, is heart-wrenchingly noble. Although I haven't finished it, I know it will be an enjoyable read. I'm reluctant to finish it because I want to savor more, but alas, there are no new chapters available.

This narrative is truly exceptional! The conclusion provides a highly satisfying resolution. The plot and unexpected twists are flawlessly executed. Although the main character (MC) often portrayed his past self as villainous, the perspective shift in the end, allowing us to see Wooin's point of view, was a fortunate revelation. It's evident that he isn't perfect, but his determination and efforts to reach his objectives make him relatable and endearing when one delves deeper into the story. Reading it all, I believe many readers will develop an affection for the MC as well.

I'm genuinely enjoying this narrative; it's evident that the main character hasn't undergone a complete personality transformation. He still experiences occasional negative emotions and jealousy, but his primary focus is on Wooseok's happiness. The subplot about potentially using his body to advance in position adds credibility to his character development, considering his initial flaws.

As for the anticipated moment, Levilevi mentioned some form of intimacy in Chapter 120, which keeps me eagerly awaiting. Thanks for the spoiler, Clyrsin. I appreciate the update.

Primarily, I'm penning this review at the current juncture to give praise to the series for its captivating portrayal of the guideverse concept. Many guideverse stories I've come across tend to overlook the intricate mechanics of guides and espers, treating the setting almost as an afterthought. However, I greatly appreciate how this narrative delves into it: Espers experience mental strain upon using their abilities, and Guides possess the ability to alleviate that stress by synchronizing their energy waves. This explanation is both straightforward and surprisingly detailed compared to others I've encountered – unless, perhaps, I've just been reading different ones.

Additionally, a special mention goes to the first meeting between Jae-chan and Woo-jin in R19. It was incredibly sweet and heartwarming, almost painfully so – I'm not exaggerating when I say that chapter had me grinning from ear to ear, feeling a deep sense of tenderness despite their lack of physical connection. The intimacy portrayed was genuine, reflecting a profound emotional bond that could only exist between two people who truly care for and trust one another.

I'll definitely update this review later as more content becomes available. For now, I don't think there's anything new I can add that hasn't been expressed eloquently by other reviewers.

This is my first time leaving a comment, but I just had to share. The main character (MC) is adorable and has a very relatable personality. He's not a perfect character, but rather a complex individual with flaws, which makes him all the more compelling. I believe his upbringing plays a significant role in shaping his perspective on relationships and contributes to his low self-esteem.

I respectfully disagree with those who claim that he hasn't changed after returning. Although his behavior might seem consistent at times, he does put in effort, and there are moments where he struggles to control his actions. The male lead (ML) is fantastic, and we get to see him through the MC's eyes, but it's important to remember that the MC's perception is colored by love, which might not always be accurate. So far, we've only seen glimpses of the ML's imperfections, and I'm excited to see more development in his character.
