    Rumina, the heir to Japan's wealthiest company, the Hanaki Corporation, is currently undergoing training to become a refined lady. However, Rumina finds this lifestyle unfulfilling and occasionally sneaks out to indulge in fast food. It is during one of these outings that she encounters a mysterious man who offers to pay for her meal in exchange for a 'date.' When Rumina declines, he forcefully kisses her, prompting her to flee.

    The storyline follows a familiar pattern: a privileged girl with restrictions meets a boy and develops feelings for him despite being engaged to someone else. Yet, there's an unexpected twist that could catch you off guard.

    Royal Seventeen's standout feature is its art style—it may not be exceptional, but it's certainly eye-catching. The character designs are thoughtful, even if their personalities lean heavily on stereotypes.

    Rumina begins as a typically cute yet frustrated young woman yearning for freedom. She frequently faces sexual harassment, only to be rescued by the designated 'good guy,' who ironically is the sole character permitted by the mangaka to harass her.

    Her love interest embodies perfection, excelling in everything from art to martial arts. He remains undefeated, his sole imperfection being the standard bishounen trait of over-possessiveness.

    The supporting characters add levity and eccentricity to the narrative. The maid and Rumina's friend Jessica stand out as particularly entertaining. Meanwhile, Rumina's fiancé is portrayed as wealthy but weak and somewhat of a 'loser.' If he weren't so peculiar and more relatable, the story's outcome might have been less predictable, albeit losing some comedic value.

    Midway through, I anticipated Rumina developing a backbone and asserting herself, but unfortunately, this growth never materialized. The lack of character development was frustrating. While the story was enjoyable, it felt overly stereotypical and simplistic. I wished the mangaka had developed the attraction between Rumina and her love interest more gradually, as events unfolded too swiftly for my taste.

    If you're in the mood for a decent romantic read with some steamy elements, give it a try.

    <p>The plot felt a bit contrived, but isn't that part of the charm of shoujo? I did appreciate the animation—large eyes, crisp lines, and attractive characters are always a plus. The character development was solid, and there was plenty of conflict to keep the story engaging. All in all, it was enjoyable.</p>

    Story: I really appreciate the forbidden lovers theme, so this story was a perfect fit as it revolved around the forbidden romance between a girl and her bodyguard. However, I felt that the story moved a bit too quickly and lacked sufficient detail. It seemed like one moment they met, and the next they were already in love.  

    Art: The artwork was superb. I loved how the clothing, hair, and accessories were meticulously drawn with great attention to even the smallest details.  

    Character: In my opinion, the female lead came across as somewhat of a pushover, unsure of what she wanted. Despite these traits, I believe it made her feel more authentic and relatable to readers, acting much like an average girl. The male lead, on the other hand, embodied the typical "I own her" persona, fitting the jerk/tough guy archetype.  

    Enjoyment: I must say I enjoyed the humorous moments and the intimate scenes in the story, as well as the character development that occurred throughout the narrative.
