Let’s start with the worst part: the art. It’s truly awful—like the absolute worst that old-school shoujo manga has to offer. The anatomy is all over the place, giving readers the delightful treat of alien-like noodle people. Clearly, the artist dislikes drawing backgrounds, as most panels or pages feature poorly drawn characters on either a pure white backdrop or a white background adorned with a generic manga filter or some random sparkling effects. And when, by sheer chance, a background does appear, it unsurprisingly looks terrible. The entire work radiates a seriously low-effort vibe.
Now, if the story had been decent, I might have been able to overlook the bad art. But nope, not even close. The story is a chaotic disaster. I struggled to keep up with it—it's barely coherent, and it felt like every other page was missing, leaving you desperately needing more context to follow along. Even when a few pages in a row manage to make sense, something random gets thrown in out of nowhere, and the storytelling becomes a tangled mess once again. I’m not sure whether to blame the bad writing or the bad art more. How can art affect the story, you ask? Well, the paneling is atrocious, so I suspect that’s one of the reasons for the continuity issues.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone—not even to shounen-ai fans—unless your standards are incredibly low.
