Xiao Meng muttered: “Got ab*sed like a dog when chasing the male god ah!“

Luo Yun’s ears were extremely sharp. When he heard her, he frowned as he closed the folder he was holding. His voice was cold as he said: “Even dogs are not as ab*sed as you are.”

———–

Xiao Meng received the task to protect the male god, and thus she became his personal bodyguard.

Unexpectedly, she suddenly heard that the male god was about to get engaged, so she thought of using the trick of injuring herself to get the enemy’s confidence, and purposely bumped into his car as an “accident”.

Xiao Meng later woke up in the hospital, looking as if she was turned into a fool by the accident. She weakly took Luo Yun’s hand and called out in sad and pitiful voice: “Husband.”

Luo Yun froze and stared at her blankly for a moment. Then, he kept a straight face and softly grunted: “En.”

I catch that same line again. 'You threw me away'. It's true I could have seriously hurt her if there had been something sharp in the direction I pushed her, if the dragon had aimed a fireball, if...okay, I guess there are a lot of If's. But her line 'you threw me away' gets me thinking that she's not referring to that fact. There's something personal going on here...or am I just overthinking it?
