Kalia opened her mouth. She squeezed out every last bit of her strength to make a sound. Just two words. Her vocal cords were too weak to produce anything but a whisper.
“Save me.”
The voice that had been constantly talking ceased.
“Kyahahahahaha!”
A loud noise was heard. It wasn’t the sound of glass breaking, but the sound of something thick and heavy shattering.
People she had never seen before were holding her, cackling.
