ERA : Psychic Hunt

The story follows Cain Nighmen, a promising trainee in the Garrison, an elite organization dedicated to maintaining order in a kingdom beset by dangerous creatures called Paranoids. During a patrol in the lower east end of the kingdom, Cain apprehends a skilled thief-a young blonde woman using mental powers to create illusions. The woman hints at a larger conspiracy involving Afaro, a former Garrison agent gone rogue, who is searching for ancient, powerful stones. Cain's superior, Salee, along with other agents, investigates Afaro's whereabouts. Instead of finding him, they discover an ancient chamber filled with texts and carvings detailing the existence of the Four Great Paranoids-enormous, deadly creatures sealed away over a thousand years ago by the kingdom's founder. Afaro's plan appears to be to find the stones that can release these Paranoids, which he believes will force the kingdom to confront its corruption and rebuild from scratch. Cain, driven to understand the truth, visits the imprisoned thief he captured. She confirms Afaro's plan and warns Cain that Afaro is searching for stones on other planets, like Mars, Jupiter, and Venus. The thief reveals she was meant to deliver a map to the next stone's location on Venus. Although she shares Afaro's distrust of the Garrison, she agrees to help Cain stop him, fearing the catastrophic consequences of releasing the Paranoids. Cain understands that he is entangled in a much larger conflict, with Afaro becoming a significant threat to the kingdom. Determined to prevent the release of the Four Great Paranoids, Cain braces himself for the challenges ahead, knowing he will need to uncover more secrets and make difficult choices to protect the kingdom.
