Story (9/10)
To be honest, at first, I expected more from this manhwa since other reviews gave it a 9 or 8, and the cover also looked interesting. But some of the plot twists didn't go the way I wanted them to, which left a hole in my heart (I mean, it made me feel like something was slightly off). The story is great, though. You don't find this kind of story often since it tells us about perspectives from six different people, although not all characters got an equal share of the narrative. Not only that, but reading the first few chapters makes it clear that this isn't your ordinary shoujo tale; it's different. However, the issue for me might be that the main character (in this case, the person who got the most screen time) wasn't the girl I initially thought would be the protagonist (let's call her Hanako for simplicity). And ironically, the girl I thought would be the main character turned out to be one of the characters with the least storyline. It kind of disappointed me. Also, to be honest, I hoped for a love triangle involving Hanako and the other guys, but once again, it didn't meet my expectations and left me feeling a bit let down. Still, I eventually accepted these changes and moved on with the story. Believe me, guys, when you start reading it, you'll likely have the same initial expectations as I did.

For the art, I don't think it's particularly impressive. The hair isn't drawn very well, and that's the worst part. I still think it's acceptable, but art might be the weakest aspect of this manhwa.
Character (8/10)
The characters are attractive and entertaining for me. Each of them is good in their own unique way. I think my favorite was the delinquent guy because he's so funny, and it's just enjoyable watching him try hard for his loved one. Maybe the least impressive one is the protagonist herself, though I still like her compared to many other MCs in shoujo manga who can be incredibly annoying. It's just that she might not be as appealing as the other characters. However, she does make a good pair when she's with the delinquent guy.

I quite enjoyed reading it, and when I was into it, I just wanted to finish it as quickly as possible, which almost affected my studies. The reason I give it an 8 is that there were things that didn't go the way I wanted them to, and the ending wasn't really the best. I think 43 chapters were too short. (SPOILER) There were several parts I wanted to see more of, like Hanako and Hong Soo—they're so cute together. Also, the nurse and Eechan are my favorite couple in this manga; they're so funny and compatible. It's a shame their love story didn't get an extra chapter.

Overall, I liked this manhwa. It's not the best manhwa I've ever read (well, you can't expect this to beat the amazing "Goong"), but I still think it's a good manhwa with serious problems and good drama.

The manhwa boasts an original and unconventional narrative flow. For example, at first glance, all characters seem like stereotypes (the nerdy girl, the prince, the delinquent...), but the reality is surprisingly unpredictable and entertaining to uncover.

The story revolves equally around the six main characters without showing favoritism. My favorite is the nurse; she feels the most genuine, being honest with herself and often making me laugh. On the other hand, Myunga and the delinquent guy are the least tolerable. Their part of the love triangle had some redeeming qualities, but its conclusion was bitter, especially since nothing was truly resolved. A haircut might symbolize change, but it falls short as adequate closure.

Yoon "Menga" Myunga is a reserved and shy girl whose only identity at school seems to be her role as vice representative, making her an easy target for bullying due to her perceived "goody two shoes" nature. Moriyama "Hana" Hanako, a former Japanese model, escapes to Korea carrying a dark secret. Eechan, affectionately nicknamed Bacchus, is the charming and good-looking student body president with whom Myunga harbors a crush. Na Hong Soo is an aspiring gamer who develops feelings for Hanako. Choi Taek Gang is a violent delinquent who sporadically attends school and instills fear in others. Lastly, Kim Yeo Won, the attractive school nurse in her mid-twenties, is often labeled as immature because of her childlike behavior and deep interest in gaming.
One intriguing aspect of H2O is the ambiguity surrounding who the actual protagonist is. While it may seem like Yoon Myunga takes center stage since the story begins and ends with her, this isn't entirely accurate. Each character plays a significant role, and this balance is what I appreciated most about the manhwa. It's refreshing to see three relationships develop simultaneously rather than focusing solely on one relationship with overused tropes like love triangles or rivals. That said, H2O does feature a love square, though it remains tolerable and doesn't become overly frustrating or drawn-out.

Regarding Eechan, I didn't connect with his character much. He lacked depth compared to others, feeling like a mere placeholder for the stereotypical "model student" archetype common in many high school-themed manhwa/manga.
The artwork is commendable, fitting the manhwa well with clean, uncluttered pages. The characters share similar features, differentiated mainly by their hairstyles. Their expressions, however, are skillfully rendered, a quality lacking in many other manhwa. Also, the volume covers are fantastic!
To wrap up, I'm uncertain whether I can wholeheartedly recommend H2O. What I will say is that it offers a refreshing take on the high school romance genre. If you're weary of overly dramatic romances and seek something lighthearted, this manhwa might appeal to you. Just don't expect anything revolutionary.
