In a heartfelt conversation, Asher's father, the ex-CEO of Ingram Corporations, warned, "If you fail to provide an heir, you risk losing it all. I've arranged for a woman who will bear you a child." At this moment, an inspired thought struck Asher. He remembered Anne, the woman who, five years ago, had given him two beautiful sons after a secret night together. Their union had ended in public disgrace, leaving her to raise the children alone. With a calculated plan, Asher decided to deceive his father, claiming, "Father, there's no need. I already have an heir - two of them, actually - and I'm eager for you to meet them." Flashback to five years prior: Anne, once betrayed by Asher, had been publicly shamed and banished for their brief yet passionate connection. Despite the pain, she now took a dangerous gamble by allowing him to believe the children were his, driven by her desire for vengeance. Unbeknownst to Asher, the enigmatic billionaire, his father's pressure to produce a male heir weighed heavily on him. His past with Anne resurfaced when they unexpectedly crossed paths again. Fueled by attraction, Asher agreed to a temporary pretense that the children were his, solely to secure his inheritance. As their lives intertwined, what would happen when Asher discovered the truth about the children? Would Anne open her heart to him, after all he'd put her through? Would forgiveness be possible, or would their rekindled love overcome the obstacles they faced? The future hung in the balance, entwined in a complex web of lies, love, and redemption.

I seriously dont get the last two chapters like who the hell is Dr Zhao and whats the relation of him to Pandora? Does it matter and did Pandora's (male lead) selections matter? Isnt it specifically chosen because he has to be someone OP/ w/ a big background? Lastly the last part of the updated chapter, the mc blackout- why and wtf happen?

I finished this novel now with my final rating 8/10, a great read for those who like cultivation without all the arrogant young master nonsense. But there are some points that could be better.

Here below I wrote the wrong review so now I'm writing the correct one.

The FL is so weak, I hope she can become stronger and at least be successful in her endeavours because her taste in men is not.The ML is so arrogant, I'm surprised he's even interested in her. Probably not going to finish it.

What a frustrating book! This story needs a good editor. Why is the author rewriting chapters, sentences and situations? Alex had only 1 interaction with the FL, why is she now acting like she knows her?? The continuation of the story doesn't make sense! Btw kids who can hack: it's an Asian novel.
