The Oblivion Walker

The Awakening occurred in 2056.

Everyone knew that global warming would be the end of their way of life, and yet those in power were more interested in fleeing their misdeeds rather than fixing them. A pilgrimage to space was all they could hope for. Those who could afford the ticket for the pilgrimage to space found themselves filling up seats for a quarter of the 14 billion people on Earth.

The pilgrimage lasted for years up until the Awakening. As the last of the ships left Earths atmosphere for the stars, the last of Antarctica\'s ice caps melted into the sea, thereby causing a massive tidal wave massacring two thirds of the remaining world\'s population.

It was at this moment, that the Awakening occurred. No one knows what it was that caused it, and no one knew where it came from. All they knew, is that every species left on the planet had changed. Changed into the forms many had come to read about in high fantasy fiction.

All species were affected. Those who were changed, were confined to the planet. \'No one enters, no one leaves.\' the Federation said. At least, that is what most thought would happen.

The year is currently 2356. A fugitive, used to living life under the Federations radar, finds himself once again thrust into the spotlight as he finds himself traveling to the world quarantined by all... but not for the reasons most would think.

No one knows what has happened to Earth and the rest of humanities estranged people... until now.
