Russell Knight isn't your typical bookish character. On the surface, he appears quiet, shy, and perhaps a bit fragile. However, beneath his composed exterior lies a depth few can fathom. At just 10 years old, he experienced the unimaginable pain of losing both his parents, leaving him in the care of his hardworking but financially struggling uncle, Frederick Knight, in the quaint town of Lakeview. As time has passed, Russell has found an unconventional outlet to channel his emotions - he finds solace in the raw thrill of cage fights, diving into the gritty world of underground combat. As the end of summer approaches and college's junior year commences, he enters into a shared living situation with Samantha Adams, his new roommate. Samantha, about to embark on a different kind of journey, must decide whether she can handle the complexities of Russell's past and the intense attraction they share. College life wasn't part of her expectations, and with Russell's undeniable charm and allure, it becomes a test of self-control for both of them. Their connection is potent, and it remains to be seen if they can resist each other's pull amidst the challenges of academic life.

Popular Reviews
Here, her husband isn't the ML, so throughout the story, FL and her husband will fight, and her sister will always raise the flame. I mean, family drama it is. And the ML is someone else who appears later in the story. The thing that I found good in this novel is the FMC. Unlike other novels, she doesn't seek revenge actively, isn't ruthless, and wants to live a peaceful life, though she humiliates her family now and then. So, the revenge part is quite refreshing compared to some other novels. She is talented, cunning, and quick-witted, yet kind of lazy. She just wants to live peacefully.
The only downside is that you may find the arcs quite repetitive. Fights with her husband, wants to divorce, but that doesn't happen and repeats.
