Ae Doona, a 22-year-old introverted young woman, has devoted herself to her online persona as a relationship expert on the platform Rebbit, abandoning her real-life connections. Haunted by her past experiences of bullying during her childhood, Doona's university life in Seoul is marked by isolation. Her mother, Ae Mishil, believes a change in scenery could help, and she suggests Busan as a potential restart. However, fate plays a surprising twist when Doona encounters Sochun, one of her former tormentors, in the city. Despite her desire to avoid Sochun, their unexpected reunion leaves both of them taken aback. Even though Doona holds a deep resentment towards him, she wonders if there's something she did to provoke his animosity. Upon settling in Busan, she encounters Chihun on an elevator, and her vulnerability due to past bullying and fear of men causes her to feel uncomfortable around him. Gradually, they form a bond, healing each other's emotional scars. As their friendship deepens, they uncover each other's complicated histories. Meanwhile, Minji, realizing her power over men is slipping, manipulates Doona as part of a scheme to achieve her own desires. Although initially oblivious to Minji's plans, Doona, supported by her new friends, finds the strength to confront and stand up to yet another bully in her life.
