Bardos leads a lonely existence. Being a god isn\'t easy task, would be his answer. You get bored very quickly and what do you do when you are a god? Exactly! Play with people\'s lives.

Graldin, the best warrior his king has to offer becomes one of Bardos\' pawns in a game of life and death. Will he be able to please the god long enough to forget about him or let him free? Or will he give in and die, leaving everything he loved behind?

Maelstrom Interlude - Defiance is supplement to my main series Maelstrom. This could be treated as a prequel, depending on how you look at it, as it follows one of the main characters past from the first book.
