Millie Walker, a gentle and compassionate soul, felt trapped in a controlling and abusive relationship with her husband. There seemed to be no escape from her situation. That all changed when her dear friend Megan presented her with an unexpected lifeline. The opportunity was too good to ignore, and with Megan's support, Millie made the brave decision to leave her old life behind and start anew in a distant place, free from pain and manipulation. At first, Millie reveled in her newfound freedom. However, her peaceful existence took a dramatic turn on a fateful night. She found herself plunged into a world far more unpredictable than anything she'd ever known – a world filled with peril, werewolves, and the fantastical realm of magic. This extraordinary world, once a childhood fantasy, had now become her harsh reality. Caught between fear of the unknown and the yearning of her heart, Millie encountered a handsome Alpha, a complex Luna, and a web of deceit and betrayal. Her journey was fraught with danger, as she struggled to navigate this supernatural landscape and protect herself from the shadows that threatened her hard-earned freedom.

Adrien had opened up a small business shop in the middle of one of the city's shopping districts and it had been closed down for months since he was still doing market research on the best kind of service to open up there. With a little bit of work, it could readily be turned into a beast refinement facility that could double as a refined beast shop on the front. Above the shop was a small one bedroom, one bathroom apartment with all the living necessities of a working kitchen, dryer and washer, and a living room.

Well, if you've read the other good stuff like SS, TAPOV, and RI, you'll find them (I read this one before the rest, so for me it was ok.) But nothing too terrible tbh. Overall it's a good read, especially since the relationship with all the characters is wholesome. I honestly, don't remember much about the romance, but I think it was nice.

Dual Cultivation barely gets updated while Cultivation Online is updated on a weekly basis, not to mention the novel he created with Su Yang's backstory not getting a single new chapter in the last 2 months.

Note for newcomers to the book.

The chapters where the players fight in the tournament are mainly written to lick the Chinese government and allow the author to gain some social credit. You can skip these chapters without reading them.
