Dungeon Tales: Lands of the North

The lands of the north are cold and harsh as are its people who must do all they can to survive not only the world, but the monsters that infest it as well. Erland Thoril of the Thorilian bloodline was born as the future heir to his father, a jarl, a nobleman with lands and title. He was also born unique in comparison to his peers, smarts and wisdom beyond his years. Many considered the boy strange and other worldly, but his father understood that his son was born with great potential that would surely make him great one day.

Erland\'s birth took his mother away from him, it was an event that made his father\'s heart bitter, Jarl Ignvar was heartbroken and at the same time filled with a bittersweet warmth as his son came to light even as his wife went into the dark.

By his position Erland was envied and ostracized by his peers, others would curry favor from him. Their insincerity disgusted him, he instead chose to form a group of those who would not be by his side to use him for their benefit. He took the misfits and the outcasts; his group consisted of the personification of physical weakness, a bastard child unrecognized by the father, and a tomboy with a short fuse.

This is the story of his growth as a young child that would one day have his name become known across the known world, some would come to know it in reverence while others would come to tremble in fear if it.
